JAGIROAD COLLEGE ,established in  1979, and located in the hub of Gova Tribal Block of Morigaon district of Assam has been a gradual and phase-wise unfolding of a dream sequence - groomed , nursed and shared by its beneficiaries. Sri Mahendra Ahom, the Founder principal & Sri Nandalal Upadhyaya , a leading social worker of the area , ably steered and worked in tendem with a lost of other social activists and the teachers of the college in saping the vblueprint of first track development of the college. The sheer zeal and dedication of the teachers and the student community -  a fair section of whom belongs to the socio- economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities and first generation learners immensely contributed to evolution of a healthy synergy that fostered academic succeeded Sri Ahom in 1997 & hold the reins as an in - charge Principal till the joining of the present incumbent Dr.Altafur Rahaman in 2000.   Dr. Altafur Rahaman and the present staff have zealously worked by carrying foward the vision of the college future into the 21st century.
